My sincere condolences to the Gumpper family and the Honesdale Fire Dept. Jack was always a pleasure to have in my classes and a valuable asset to the fire department, the community and most importantly, his family. He will now join quite the cast of characters at the big fire house in the sky and I am sure the brothers will be welcoming him with open arms. It should be quite the reunion. Rest In Peace Jack, your job here is done.. God Speed my Friend.

It was a honor to know such a fine man. Thank you brother-in-law for your lifetime of dedicated service to the country, and our local community. May you be at peace now. We will miss your kidding around. We will watch over Deby in your absence. Jimmy Dawn & Kyle Simmons
