Herb and my husband Jay became best friends at Junior High School in Brooklyn, NY. When they became 18 yrs old, they both signed up for the Navy together , but wound up on different ships. He was our best man at our wedding in 1960, with his first wife Lynn as bridesmaid. We celebrated the birth of our children together and many other happy occasions. Maybe they will all see each other again in heaven. My condolences to the family. May he rest in peace. Gloria Shapiro
