Richard Joseph Ryan, 82, of Beach Lake, died on Thursday, January 13,
2022 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Linda Lee Pepper on October 18, 2016.
Born in MT Vernon, NY, on March 26, 1939, he was the son of the late Patrick and Elizabeth Ryan. Richard was a loving and energetic boy and the youngest of ten brothers and sisters.
Richard attended Stepinac High School in White Plains, NY Graduating in 1957. After he graduated, Richard started working at CBS Inc. This kick started a career within the communications field. Richard work for CBS until 1998 retiring as General Manager of CBS data Center in Secaucus, NJ.
In 1969 Richard Married, Linda Lee Pepper and went on to have two
children and three grandchildren. Richard put family first, always, and was a dedicated father, grandfather, and uncle. Richard and Linda raised their family in Yonkers NY and Lake Como, PA. Richard was known to many in the family as Uncle Rich having 70 nieces and nephews and countless grand nieces and nephews all looking up to him.
Richard was a passionate golfer and also enjoyed white water rafting and fixed wing gliding in his younger years. Those that knew Richard would tell you that his calm demeanor and quick wit would always put you at ease and have you leaving with a smile on your face.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife Linda Ryan, Mother Elizabeth Ryan, Father Patrick Ryan, Brothers Bill, Jack, Dave, Dan and Sisters Betty, Bea, Sue, Pat, Peggy, and Monica. Richard was survived by Son Scott Ryan and wife Tonya, Daughter Kim Pazzini and Husband Anthony and Grandchildren Paige, Veara and Keith.

Friends may visit Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale on Friday, January 21st, 3 to 6. Interment will be in the spring in St. Julianna’s Cemetery, Rock Lake.
