Raymond Eugene Large, 73, of Lake Ariel, died on December 14, 2022 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, the former Nora Angelo Campagna Large.

Born on May 24, 1949 in Ironton, OH, he was the son of the late Sherman and Betty Louise (Morris) Large. Ray was a proud US Marine Corp veteran. He served in Vietnam where he was wounded and received a Purple Heart.

He owned a small business painting houses for several years and recently retired with his wife and settled in the Lake Ariel area. Previously he lived in Florida, Toms River, NJ and Point Pleasant, NJ. He loved fishing, Nascar and sports. He was a military history buff and loved the US Marines.

In addition to his wife, Nora, he is survived by his step-sons, Anthony and Vincent Campagna; grandchildren, Charlotte and Amelia Campagna; his siblings, Shirley Murphy and Tom Large.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Large.

Following cremation, private services will be held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements by Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale.
