Patricia “Pat” Risse Theobald passed peacefully in her sleep June 3. 2022. She was born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania to Teresa and Joseph Risse on June 30, 1930. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Theobald, parents Teresa and Joe, and three older brothers Joe, Don, and Bob Risse.

Surviving are daughters, Laurie (David) Phillips, Susan (Stephen) Eckmann, and grandchildren, Jennifer Pratt, Thomas and Allison Eckmann. Surviving also is sister-in-law, Majorie Theobald Mellody, and numerous nieces and nephews. There was nothing that Pat loved more than spending time with her grandchildren and getting to watch them grow.

A graduate of Honesdale Catholic High School and Mercy School of Nursing in Scranton, she enjoyed working at Wayne Memorial Hospital for many years. She continued using her skills as a volunteer in Honesdale and her Florida community. She was a member of the Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered frequently at The Other Shop. An active member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, she loved being part of the annual Block Party and visiting with old friends who would stop by.

Pat’s earthly body will be interred on Friday the 10th at 11:00 in St. Mary’s Cemetery with a small grave side service. A memorial mass will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be given to the Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or any charity of your choice.
