Obituaries » Michael Cornacchia Burial Date September 10, 2022 Funeral Home Hessling Funeral Home Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Michael Cornacchia, 63, died Friday, September 2, 2022 at the Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born April 14, 1959, in Volterra, Italy to Pasquale and Felicia Cornacchia. In 1971, his parents and siblings immigrated to Elizabeth, New Jersey where he grew up and started his family. An avid fisherman all his life, Michael loved the rivers and lakes in Pennsylvania where he and his familybought their first home in 1988. Michael loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and dogs. One of his favorite past times was fishing in the river next to his home with his sons and his godson, Anthony Cornacchia. He also enjoyed hosting family gatherings, gardening, and working with his hands. Michael was an especially proud owner of an epoxy flooring business where he worked alongside his sons. The legacy of his business will be carried on by his youngest son, Vince Cornacchia. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lucille Grant, his children and grandchildren; Michael Van Blarcom and his son Jaxon, Pasquale Cornacchia (spouse Chris O’Connor), and Vince Cornacchia (spouse Michelle Cornacchia) and their children Ava and Luca. He is also survived by hissiblings Antonio Cornacchia, Vincenzo Cornacchia, Carmine Cornacchia, Daniela Cornacchia Argemi, Luciana Cornacchia and many loving nieces and nephews. He is reunited in death with his parents Pasquale and Felicia Cornacchia. A casual visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10th from 11am to 1pm at Hessling Murray Funeral Home in Honesdale, PA.
