Lucky Lee Gager, 60, of Honesdale, died on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He is survived by his former wife and companion, Linda (Dougher) Gager-Pugh.

Born on December 5, 1961 in Callicoon, NY, he was the son of the late Edwin and Annette (Ludwig) Gager. Following his graduation from Honesdale High School, Lucky began trucking. He owned and operated Lucky Gager Trucking for many years which became his passion. He has traveled over 4 million miles on the road. Lucky loved everything about trucking, from working on the mechanics of his truck to being sure his Peterbilt was kept spotless.

His love for his truck spilled over to tinkering on other forms of transportation. He helped his son rebuild a car and enjoyed working on motorcycles.

Lucky loved life and always had a positive outlook. Though he spent much of the time traveling, he was always there for family and friends.

Also surviving are his sons, Brent Gager and wife Kris of Emhurst Township and Cory Gager and wife Margaret-Ann of Honesdale; his step-daughter, Danae Pugh of Winter Park, FL; his uncle, Donald Gager and wife Ruth of Georgia; aunts, Barbara Becker of New York and Susan Dougher of White Mills; grandchildren, Brody, Sean, Ryder, Sierra, Athena, William and Bentley Gager.

Friends may visit Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale on Friday, 4 to 7. A memorial service will be held at 7 pm. Private interment will be in Bolkcom Cemetery.
