Lois Adair Stinnard, 86, of Honesdale, died on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Wayne Woodlands Manor. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert L. Stinnard. The couple married on June 1, 1946. Born on October 5, 1927 in Luzerne, PA, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Louise Honeywell Branning. Adair was a graduate of Honesdale High School and later worked at Dale Sports Wear and Katz Underwear Factory where she was a seamstress. She was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Honesdale where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. In the past, she was also a Brownie Troop leader. She enjoyed square dancing, sewing and camping. Adair especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Also surviving is her son Gary Stinnard of Honesdale; her daughters JoAnn Warcholak and husband Paul of Waymart and Dorothy O’Neill and husband Daniel of Honesdale; brothers Jay Branning and wife Lorraine, Dan Branning and wife Marilyn and Mike Branning and wife Kathy all of Honesdale; sisters Pat Bonear and Sandy Smith and husband Wyman all of Honesdale and Marilyn Harder and husband David of Rileyville; grandchildren Scott Kramer, Shannon Stinnard, Erin Smith, Harry Garula, Megan, Timothy, and Bryan O’Neill; 5 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Tabbitha M. Garula and her sister Audrey LeGrange and her husband Pete. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 21st at 10am at Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale. Interment will follow in Indian Orchard Cemetery.
