Linda Carol (Kravitz) Rusich, 75, Beach Lake, passed away peacefully at home early Friday, February 24, 2023 after an illness. Born in Amityville, NY on February 20, 1948, she was raised in Wantagh, NY and was a 1966 graduate of Wantagh High School.

In 1969, her parents retired to Beach Lake, and, after the death of her father, Linda, her husband John, and daughter Carol relocated to the “country” to be with her mother.  Linda was a Girl Scout Co-Leader for the Damascus area Girl Scout Troops while her daughters were in school and enjoyed many camping, parades, and amusement park trips.   Linda loved the ocean and her annual trips to VA Beach with her children and their assorted friends.  In recent years she enjoyed crafting & making wreaths for friends & family.  She was incredibly proud of her grandchildren and loved seeing them grow up into young adults.

Linda is survived by four children: Carol-Lynne, Jeannette, Diana, and Drew; five grandchildren: Shayna, Rebecca, & Delilah Lohmann, Tommy Morris, and Rachel Windhorn; and three great-grandsons, along with many (crazy) cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew Kravitz & Della Javitz (Adeline Jadziewicz), brother Andrew “Sonny” Kravitz, former husband John Rusich, and son-in-law Rolf Windhorn.

The family would like to thank Dr. Cruse, as well as the superb staff at Wayne Memorial Hospice, as their kindness and compassion were truly appreciated through a difficult time.

Friends may visit Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale, on Saturday, March 18th from 10 to 12.  A memorial service will be held at noon.
