Kathryn Frisch Carmody, 43, of Honesdale, died peacefully, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Carmody. The couple married on September 10, 1999. Born on June 22, 1971 in Honesdale, she is the daughter of Richard and Miriam “Mima” Fritz Frisch. She was a graduate of Honesdale High School, class of 1989. Kate owned and operated Kate’s Creative Hair Design in Honesdale. An active person, she enjoyed running and especially enjoyed her time with her friends at spinning class at Lake Region Fitness. She adored her two cats Sadie and Tiggie. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish where she practiced her spirituality. Family was key in Kate’s life, spending time with her beloved husband and daughter and going to the beach. Also surviving is her daughter Lindsey Tylar Carmody, a brother Thomas M. Frisch and wife Suzie of Honesdale; sisters Susan Frisch and Stephen Lacinski, Sara Gallik and husband Scott and Kristen Frisch; mother and father -in-law Robert V. and Florence M. Carmody all of Honesdale.; niece Taylor and nephews Tanner and TJ Frisch. As per her request, cremation services are being arranged by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Dec. 23rd at 10:30 at St. Mary Magdalen Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kate Frisch Carmody Memorial Fund, c/o Wayne Bank, 711 Main St. Honesdale, PA 18431.
