Scudillo (Crist) Place of Service St. John\'s Lutheran Church Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Joyce Ann Scudillo, 83, of Honesdale, died on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lewis Scudillo on August 1, 2012. The couple married on March 1, 1959. Born in Carbondale on December 17, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Robert T. and Anna E. (Seaman) Crist. She was a graduate of Honesdale High School, class of 1957. She then attended Scranton Beauty School and opened Joyce’s Beauty Shop. She and her husband owned and operated the popular Main St. hangout, Tony’s for many years. Joyce later worked as a nurses assistant at Ellen Memorial, Peck’s Nursing Home and Wayne Memorial Hospital before retiring. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Honesdale and a member of the Eastern Star. Joyce was an avid reader and enjoyed watching television. Surviving is her son Kurt Scudillo of Honesdale; her friends and caregivers, Bill Terry and Laurie Schwab; her brother, William Crist and wife Fran of Raliegh, NC; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Joseph James Scudillo. A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (107 Seventh St. Honesdale), on April 29, 2023. Calling hours will be at 1:00 pm and the service will began at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Window Fund or to Dessin Animal Shelter.Check your settings when you are happy with your print preview press the print icon below.
