Jean Sharp Pohle (99) passed away 11/22/22 after a brief illness at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Jean was born June 28, 1923 in Port Jervis, NY to Irene (Ritter) and Albert Sharp and graduated from Port Jervis High School in 1941. She moved to Honesdale and lived with her cousins the Curran Family while attending Wayne Commercial School in 1942. She married Milton (Moonie) Pohle June 29, 1946. In 1960 she began a career at Katz Company working in the payroll and sales office until retiring in 1991. Jean was an avid reader and loved playing cards. She was preceded in death by her husband Milton, July 30, 1974 and a brother Thomas of Port Jervis, NY.

Jean is survived by sons John Pohle and wife Cecelia of Deer Lodge, Montana. Richard and wife Susan of Cold Springs, Honesdale as well as grandchildren: Greg Pohle and wife Kim, Billings Montana, Kristin and Steve Codey of Raritan, NJ and Ryan and Kayla Pohle of Cold Spring Honesdale. Great grandchildren include: Shaylin, Nathan and Alyssa Pohle, Jack and Weston Codey.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1st at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Honesdale at 11 am. Interment will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Honesdale. The family will receive friends on Thursday in church, 10 until the time of service. Arrangements by Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale.

In lieu of flowers memorial St. John’s Lutheran Church, Church Street, Honesdale or charity of donors choice.
