Pfaffenbach, 95, formerly of Copiague, NY and Jeffersonville, NY, died on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Bethany Village in Honesdale, PA where she was a resident. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Pfaffenbach on October 23, 1979. The couple married on January 17, 1942. Born on June 17, 1921 in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude Herne Bousquet. Before retiring, she worked in the Copiague School System as a secretary. Jean enjoyed riding horses until she was no longer able to about 10 years ago. Surviving are her daughters Penney Rubin and husband Marty of Chicago, IL and Claudia Lord of Indianapolis, IN. She was preceded in death by her brother John Bousquet. Private services will be held at the convenience of her family. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale, PA 18431.
