Gordon Tripp Rosenkrans, 70, of York, PA and formerly of Honesdale, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 1, 2022 at York Hospital.

Born on February 4, 1952 in Jamestown, NY, he was the son of the late Harrison Tripp and Dorothy (Richards) Rosenkrans. He was a graduate of Honesdale High and later received an associate degree from Penn State University. Gordon also served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.

Gordon began his career with Bell Telephone. He later moved to York, PA working for Wellspan Health at York Hospital in telecommunications before retiring.

Gordon knew what was beautiful and precious in this world. It was evident in the way he traveled or the way he captured with his camera the gentle morning sun or the solo tree standing proud in an open field. It was evident in the way he shared a laugh and a glass of wine with family and friends. And it was particularly evident in the way he fiercely loved and lifted up his three boys.

Surviving are his sons, Ethan Rosenkrans and wife Bethany, Alex Rosenkrans and wife Danielle, and Seth Rosenkrans all of York, PA; his sisters, Darlene Copeland and husband Jim of Willow Street, PA and Rebecca Murray and husband Ted of Honesdale; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8th at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale at 1pm. Friends may visit on Friday, 11 until the time of service. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery.
