Gloria Ann Eck, 74, of Simpson, died on April 21, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Eck on November 12, 2004.

Born on April 18, 1947 in Hawley, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Marion Masker. She was a graduate of the J.J. Koehler School in Honesdale.

Gloria worked many different jobs over the years. She enjoyed working and meeting different people. She made many friends over the years, especially during her time living at the Wayne Hotel.

She enjoyed going fishing with her family in her younger years and getting together with her family. In her later years, after becoming ill, she enjoyed plastic canvas crafts and giving them to family and friends. Her greatest joy in life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving is her daughter Jennie Egleston, with whom she resided; sisters Penny Rowe of Arizona and Bonnie Masker of Mayfield; brothers Robert Masker of Simpson and Theodore Masker of Mayfield; 4 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by sisters Sandy, Emma, Violet, and Mary Masker and Darlene Bidwell; brothers Richard and Everett Masker Jr.; son-in-law W. Paul Egleston.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date announced by her family. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale.
