Kearney Jr. Burial Date November 22, 2022 Funeral Home Hessling Funeral Home Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Gerard Charles Kearney, Jr., 45, of Honesdale and formerly of Brooklyn and Beach Lake, died on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Born on March 23, 1977 in Brooklyn, he was the son of Anita (Guilfoyle) Kearney with whom he resided and the late Gerard Charles Kearney Sr.. Jerry began working in construction in Manhattan, NY and more recently was a bartender at The White Owl and Cordaro’s. Jerry enjoyed working with his father and the friendships he made while bartending. A sports fanatic, Jerry followed the New York Yankees and playing basketball. He recently got a bicycle and enjoyed the peacefulness of going for a ride. Most of all, Jerry loved being with his sons. In addition to his mother, Jerry is survived by his sons, Gerard Kearney and Justin Kearney of Brooklyn; his uncle, Bob Kearney of CT; his aunt, Maureen Goror of Beach Lake; several cousins. A blessing service will be held on Tuesday, November 22nd at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale. Friends may visit on Tuesday, 2 to 5.
