Gary Miller, 75, of Beach Lake, died on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore with his family by his side.

Born on September 12, 1947 in Honesdale, he was the son of the late Ralph and Dorthea (Banks) Miller. Gary was a US Marine Corp veteran who served in Vietnam.

After returning home, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Dexter Construction before working for General Dynamics in Eynon as a millwright. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed motorcycle rides and in his younger years, working out and exercising with his children.

Surviving is his daughter, Jeanette Ward and husband Bill of Casper, WY; his son, Gerry Miller and wife Jamie of Hamlin; his sister, Sue Miszler and husband Ed of Hawley; his brother, Steve Miller and companion, Joanne Catalano of Justice, PA; grandchildren, Charlotte and Cheyenne Ward, Andy, Chelsea and Rebekkah Miller; great grandson, Jackson Coffey; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son Eric Miller.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 31st at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale at 11 am. The family will receive friends, 10 until the time of service.
