Obituaries » Francis H. LaVere Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Francis “Bud” H. LaVere III, 81, of Honesdale, died on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie J. LaVere on April 16, 1990. Born on December 1, 1939 in Rocky Hill, NJ, he was the son of the late Francis Jr. and Violet (Markussen) LaVere. Bud began working at Johns Manville in New Jersey before moving to Pennsylvania. He later worked in electronics at Murray Company. Before retiring he worked in security at Cove Haven. An avid New York Yankees and New York Jets fan, he enjoyed watching the games on t.v. Surviving is his sister Rayetta Peterson of Waymart; his daughter Michelle Lowery; his niece Michelle Peterson; his nephew Edward Peterson; step-sons Michael and Ryan Morgan; step-daughters Katie and Lisa Morgan and Mary Ann Wilkenloh; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Maplewood Cemetery, Lake Ariel, PA.
