Sohnlein Burial Date March 29, 2018 Funeral Home Hessling Funeral Home Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Frederick Lester Sohnlein, 61, of Honesdale, died on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. Born of September 13, 1956 in Lakewood, NJ, he was the son of John and Thelma May Applegate Sohnlein. For many years, Fred work as a truck mechanic before retiring. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1858 in Honesdale. In his younger years, Fred enjoyed bowling with his friends. He also enjoyed watching Nascar races and cheering for Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He loved the outdoors and spending time in nature, camping and fishing. An avid gun collector, he also enjoyed target shooting. Surviving is his daughter Melissa Rush and wife Lelia of Honesdale; his son Kevin Endriss of Honesdale; his fiancée Debra Mezler of Honesdale; his sister Sandra L. Mullen of FL; and his grandchildren Hope, Sheldon and Sabrina Endriss. He was preceded in death by his brother John Sohnlein.
