Eileen C. Meyer, 77 of Beach Lake passed unexpectedly on Friday, January 6, 2023 at home.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Arthur C. Meyer. The couple married May 24, 1965.
Born on August 22, 1945 in Honesdale, PA she was the daughter of the late Kenneth H. and
Madelene (Feder) Treverton. She was a graduate of Honesdale Catholic High School.
Eileen worked as a rural mail carrier for over 30 years for the USPS. Upon retiring she and her
husband enjoyed spending time traveling to many destinations across the country with their
motor home. She enjoyed caring for her yard full of flowers and that ever present search for the
next great book to read.
Eileen was a loving and nurturing wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She never missed an
opportunity to attend one of her grandchildren’s many sporting or fine arts events. Ever present
on the sidelines cheering them on. Perhaps her favorites though were when she could share
times with family around the table for a meal or a simple cup of tea, enjoying her family as they
grew.
In addition to her husband, Art she is survived by her sister Betty Chuprevich of Bethany, her
daughter Kathleen Neenan and husband David of Welcome Lake, sons Kenneth “Boomer”
Meyer of Lake Huntington, Jeff and wife Kim of West Damascus, Shawn and wife Amanda of
Welcome Lake; grandchildren Brady Neenan and wife Lanie, Riley Neenan, AJ Meyer, Allison
Meyer and fiance Josh LoBasso, Sarah Meyer, Andrea Meyer, Lilly Meyer, Jack Meyer and
great granddaughter Ila Neenan and her life-long best friend Ruthann Glossenger Santoli. She
was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Treverton.
She will be missed by many and remembered for her kind and caring nature. Ever ready with
her quilting and crocheting skills to be making hats, mittens, scarves and blankets for those who
needed them.
As per her request she will be cremated with private interment, Beach Lake Cemetery.
