Edward Von Lumm III, 67, of Honesdale, died on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the VNA Hospice Unit at Geisinger CMC in Scranton. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Shirley Siatkowski. The couple married on September 13, 1969. Born on January 4, 1947 in New York City, he was the son of the late Edward and Rosemary Gibbons Von Lumm. He began working as a printer in New York and after moving to Honesdale, he worked at Top Notch Distributors. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching hockey and rooting for the New York Rangers. Most of all, Ed enjoyed being with his grandchildren. Also surviving are his sons Edward Von Lumm IV of Honesdale and John Von Lumm of Carlisle, PA; his daughters Mary Fedorchak and husband Jeremy of Simpson, PA and Theresa Lazzari and husband Vincent of Hughestown, PA; his brothers Daniel Von Lumm and wife Patti of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Robert Von Lumm and wife Linda of Ridgefield Park, NJ; sisters Joan Von Lumm of Pompano Beach, FL and Joyce Ospina and husband Chris of Fort Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren Ian and Makenna Fedochack, Bryson Von Lumm, Anthony Lazzari, Edward V and Hailey Von Lumm; several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 17th at 10 am at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may visit Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale on Friday from 5 to 8.
