Cecelia Fowler (Dean)

Cecelia (Dean) Fowler 98 of Honesdale, PA passed on Wednesday February 21, 2024 at Bethany Village, in Honesdale, PA. Her husband Herbert L. Fowler preceded her in 1992.

Born February 2, 1926 in Honesdale, PA she was the daughter of the late Paul and Nellie (Mikulewicz) Dean. Her brother Thomas Dean and sister Theresa (Dean) Balthaser also preceded her in death. Surviving is her sister Anna Marie (Dean) Raught.

Aunt Ceil never had children of her own, yet there were so many of us that she cared for as if we were. Forever more these are some of the names of those whose lives were touched by this remarkable woman.

The staff at Bethany Village gave such gentle care and love to Aunt Ceil and became part of our family over these last years. We regard you highly for the people that you are, the work you do and the manner in which you do it.

Ceil Fowler was feisty, beautiful, kind, mischievous and oh so loving. Her spirit will live on as we carry her in our hearts for the rest of our days. And the next time you have a glass of warm coke, you can think of Aunt Ceil.

Services will be held at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale on Saturday March 2, 2024 at 10:00am. Private interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst, PA.
