Bradley A. Bidwell, 66, of Damascus, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, the former Heather A. Geiger. The couple married on June 25, 1988.

Born on October 2, 1954 in Honesdale, he was the son of the late Carl and Betty (Masker) Bidwell. He was a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School, class of 1973.

Brad has been employed at Monticello Casino and Raceway where he was supervisor of landscaping.

In his younger years, Brad excelled in baseball playing in several area leagues. Recently he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and playing golf. Brad was well known for his great sense of humor and always making his friends and family laugh.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Shannan Porter of Kannapolis, NC, Sean A. Bidwell and companion Sara Pedley and Brianne A. Bidwell and companion Robert Amsler all of Beach Lake; his sister Judy Farrell and husband Jim of Honesdale; a niece Lacey Smith and husband Zach; a nephew Jason Farrell and wife Nicole. He is also survived by several beloved aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25th at Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale at noon. The family will receive friends on Saturday, 10 until the time of service.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Damascus Township Volunteer Ambulance Corp., White Mills Fire Dept. or Dessin Animal Shelter.
