Blanca J. Barreras, 81, of Honesdale, died on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the home of her daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Ernesto Curiel.

Her Christian faith was a great example to her family. She was always looking to help others and participated in several mission trips. She loved traveling and studying scriptures with her family. She was a proud grandmother of a family of 5 generations.

Surviving is her daughters Francis Rembisz with whom she resided and Nora Curiel and husband Angel Castellanos; her son David Curiel; her grandchildren, Guarionex P. Curiel and wife Rose, Roberto, Shamaya, Ramon and Marcos and wife Maritza; great grandchildren Guarito, Beauregard and Gustavo; family friends Osvaldo Escalera and family and Laura Santiago.

She was preceded in death by her sons Alfredo, Roberto and Alejandro Curiel.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff of Wayne Memorial Home Health and Hospice for their exceptional care during Blanca’s illness. They would also like to thank Lisa Miller, CRNP and the nurses and doctors at the Wound Clinic at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
