Archie S. Henderson, 87, of Honesdale (formerly Augusta, MI), passed away March 1, 2020 at home in the loving company of his wife, Judy, of 63 years and his two children.

Born November 23, 1932 in Coshocton, OH, he was the youngest of thirteen children of the late George and Anna (McCormick) Henderson.

Archie served in the Korean War and was a proud US Air Force veteran and member of the American Legion in Hickory Corners, MI. He spent his working life as a union carpenter, built two homes of his own in Michigan with his wife and remodeled their last home in Honesdale at the age of 79. Over the years he helped many friends, family and neighbors with their projects. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing, as well as wintering in Arizona upon retirement. He and Judy also enjoyed traveling in their motor home with their beloved Sheltie dog, Missy.

A special thank you to Wayne Memorial Hospice for their loving care and support.

He is survived by his wife Judith (Neilson) Henderson, son Timothy Henderson of Honesdale, daughter Terri Henderson and Patricia Bursis of Honesdale; two brothers, Rodney Henderson and his wife Karen, and Donald Henderson; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale on Friday, March 6 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow at Glen Dyberry Cemetery, Honesdale.
