Ann P. Nonnemacher, 91, of Honesdale died November 27, 2023 in the presence of her family at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her former husband Frank Edward Nonnemacher on December 9, 2019. The couple married on June 6, 1953 in St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale.
Born on June 13, 1932 in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Shannon Walker.
She was a graduate of Honesdale Catholic High School, class of 1949.
A housewife and mother, Ann was instrumental in the success of the Nonnemacher family business. Ann always had a strong faith in God and that faith was imprinted on her words, her actions and every relationship she had.  Ann resided in the Honesdale area her entire life and moved to Waymart in 2002.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale.
Surviving are her children, David Nonnemacher and wife Laurie of South Carolina, Beth Doney of Hawley, and daughter in-law Sharyce Nonnemacher of West Virginia, Grandchildren Jack and Madeline Nonnemacher, Christopher (Morgan), Caitlin (Patrick), Eric and Carlie Doney, Carsyn, Layne, and Tyler Nonnemacher, Great Grandchildren Everhett and Rowan Doney, many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her former husband Frank Edward Nonnemacher, she was preceded in death by her son Steven Frank Nonnemacher, sisters Jeanne Greiner, Mary Davies, Pauline Chase, Betty Gallik, Catherine Kelly; a brother Joseph Walker and infant brother James Walker.
Her children wish to express a sincere and heartfelt thanks to the caregivers that took such wonderful care of her at Heart of Gold, as well as the staff at Wayne Woodlands. A special thanks to Wayne Memorial Hospice and all the wonderful aides. Your support was greatly appreciated.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10am at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale.  Interment will follow.  Arrangements by Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale.
