Angela G. Menotti, 85, of Honesdale, died on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Menotti on December 22, 2008. The couple married on April 7, 1956.

Born on June 23, 1937 in Waymart, she was the daughter of the late Patrick A. and Cecelia (Schmidt) Doherty. She was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School. A loving housewife and mother, Angie was involved with several businesses along with her husband.

Angie was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale and participated in its Eucharistic Adoration Chapel. She was also a member of the Alert Hook and Ladder #2 Auxiliary. A proud and faithful friend of Bill W., she was happy to help many over the years and appreciated the friendships she had made.

She enjoyed going dancing with her husband and in recent years enjoyed her winters in Florida.

Surviving are her sons, Terrance Menotti and wife Sandy of Ormond Beach, FL, John Menotti and wife Sue of Hawley and Martin Menotti and wife Kathy of Honesdale; her sisters, Rosemary Billard and husband, Lou of Clements, MD and Deborah Olver of Honesdale; her brother-in-law, Richard Menotti of FL; sister-in-law, Patricia Strasser of Hawley. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Adore, Nick, Dustin, Jeremy, Janette, Dominick and Alison; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert J. Menotti and wife Debbie; her daughter, Julianna Menotti; her granddaughter, Christina Menotti; her sister, Patricia Myers and her husband Ronald; her brother, Eugene Doherty; brother-in-law, Duane “Mike” Olver.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 23rd at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may visit Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale on Friday, 4-7.
