Alice M. Noble, 85 of Honesdale, entered eternal life peacefully at home after bravely fighting cancer on February 14, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence E. Noble on December 13, 1990.

Born on March 10, 1933 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Gladys (Korb) Meyer. She lived in Honesdale her entire life.

A housewife and loving mother, Alice was also a waitress at the former Maple City Restaurant, a floor worker at Katz Underwear Company and worked in the bakery at the Miracle Market.

Alice enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking, crafts and crocheting. She also loved lighthouses. She loved cats and dogs caring for many over the years. Most of all, Alice loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her sons Daniel Noble and companion Timothy Gillin of Glen Rock, PA and William Noble of Honesdale; daughters Nancy Lucas of Honesdale and Judy Liptak and husband David of Beach Lake; brothers Robert Reisch and wife Gail and Gerald “Jake” Reisch all of Honesdale. Also surviving are her grandchildren Amanda and Andy Kovaliski and Jenna Lucas, Darren Liptak and wife Nadja and Ryan Liptak and wife Olga; great grandchildren Anaya Torres and Thomas Liptak; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her step-father Joseph Reisch.

As per her request, a private graveside service will be held in Glen Dyberry Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale.
