Virginia M. Stack, 89, of Honesdale, passed away, Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family.

Ginny, as she was known by friends and family, was born in Archbald, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph Conway and Marguerite Mahon Conway. She was raised by her Aunt Nora and Uncle Joseph Heuschneider. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Church. Always a customer favorite, she was employed by local grocery stores and retired from CVS in 2003.

Ginny felt her greatest accomplishment was raising her four girls to be strong independent women. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved cat, Tiger. She is survived by her four daughters: Cheryl Weber, Patricia Bates and her husband Leonard, Kelly Box and her husband Andrew all of Honesdale, Stacey Stack and her partner Michael Monteleone of West Chester, PA; grandchildren Christine Perilli, Shelly Hearn, Jay and Brian Bates, and Samuel, Noah, and Lydia Box; and four great grandchildren Nicholas and Grace Perilli, and Jeremy and Natalie Hearn.

She was preceded in death by brothers Thomas, Harold, and Frank Conway, and sisters Dorothy Partyka, Eileen Homer, and Nan McConnell.

Her family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Ellen Memorial Health Care Center for all the love, care, and comfort she received as a resident there during her final months.

Per her wishes, there will be no visitation hours and cremation will be held at Maple Hill at Salem Crematory. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 22nd at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale at 10 am. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Alert Hook & Ladder Co. #2, 222 Willow Ave. Honesdale, PA 18431 or the Wayne County Community Foundation Pool Account, 214 9th St. Honesdale, PA 18431
