Obituaries » Matthew K. Frey Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Matthew Kevin Frey, 35, of Beach Lake, died unexpectedly on April 12, 2018 in Hardeeville, SC. Born on August 28, 1982, in Honesdale, he is the son of Kevin R. and Julianne Furey Frey of Beach Lake. Matt was a graduate of Honesdale High School, class of 2000 and later attended chef school. Locally, Matt had worked at the Mustard Seed in Waymart and the Twisted Rail Tavern in Honesdale. He also had worked at several restaurants in Florida. Matt enjoyed hunting and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Jennifer Wilhelm and husband Brian of Jeanette, PA and her sons Zachary and Ethan Berginc; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 12th at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Narrowsburg, NY at 11am.
