Augustus “Gus” William Lintner
Passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017, at Ellen Memorial Nursing Home after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s & Parkinson’s disease.

Gus is survived by his 2 children, son, Jeff Lintner, Honesdale, PA, his daughter, Susan Lintner, Honesdale, PA, his brother, Dwight Lintner, Lake Ariel, PA, nephew, Brian Lintner, Lake Ariel, PA as well as several cousins.

Life long resident of Honesdale, Pa, Gus was born on January 19, 1938. Gus was the son of the late George and Margaret (Utter) Lintner. Gus and his late wife, Dorothy C. Lintner, were married on June 7, 1958. He was also preceded in death by his younger brother, David Lintner.

In his early days, Gus started working at the former Sandercock Dairy, Honesdale, PA and spent most of his career as a heavy equipment operator for several local employers through his retirement from Leeward Construction, Honesdale, PA.

Gus was most proud of serving his community as long time Honesdale Texas Township supervisor.
His true passion was his old time antique “One Lunger” gasoline engines, farm tractors, and trains.

Gus enjoyed displaying his varied collection at parades and fairs to share antique equipment history with anyone who was interested.
So much so, he organized the former “Pioneer Power” club on the “Green Acres” showground in Cherry Ridge Township, PA.

Gus will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Friends and family may visit Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Hessling Funeral Home, 428 Main Street, Honesdale, PA. A funeral service will be held at 7pm by Pastor Rob Kazinski of the Central United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Memory of Gus Lintner to the Alzheimer’s association.
