Rita Pearl Watson

Rita Pearl Watson, 87, of Honesdale, died on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Creekside Nursing Home in Carbondale. She was preceded in death by her husband, David “Dobber” Watson on May 6, 2011. The couple married on July 21, 1956.

Born on August 3, 1935 of Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Blanche (Kimble) Wilmarth. Before retiring, Rita worked for several local businesses.

She enjoyed her daily walks no matter the weather and though a private person, always kindly greeted those passing by. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving is her daughter, Laurie Pickens of Gaines, PA; grandchildren, Anita, Eric, Shelley, Lindsey and Casey; great grandchildren, Nova, Amiya, Derek, Eden and Amina.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Watson.

As per her request, she will be cremated and there will be no public services. Arrangements by Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale.
