Henry “Hank” N. Rimlinger, 89, of White Mills passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Talllman Freethy Rimlinger on September 28, 2015. The couple married on December 2, 1989. Born on November 28, 1932 in Hawley, he was the son of the late Bernard and Caroline (Renken) Rimlinger. Hank was a graduate of Hawley High School. He worked for many years for PennDOT as a surveyor before retiring as a supervisor. Hank was an active member of the White Mills Fire Department for over 60 years and served as past president. He was a faithful member of Queen of Peace Parish in Hawley where he served as an usher and attended St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale. He also participated in the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel in Honesdale. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. He took great pride in caring for his home and property. Surviving are his sons, Daniel Rimlinger and wife Lisa of Buckeye, AZ and Timothy Rimlinger and wife Kimberly of Audubon, PA; his step-sons, Eric Freethy and wife Brenda of Honesdale and Jason Freethy and wife Dana of Lakeville; grandchildren, Nikki and Darren Rimlinger, Dustin, Natasha, Nicholas, Scott, Michael, Lydia, and Nathan Freethy; a great grandson, Jack Freethy; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Rimlinger, who was killed during WWII; sisters, Dolores Mitchell, Audrey Brundage and Clare Muensch; step-sons, Bruce and Karl Freethy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 12th at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale at 10 am. Private interment will be in Indian Orchard Cemetery in the spring.
