Joseph Ervin White, 52, of Honesdale, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at his home. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, the former Eileen F. Mullahy on December 23, 2012. The couple married on May 7, 1994. Born on February 2, 1962 in Baltimore, MD, he is the son of Lorraine Zubey Cox and her husband Richard of Georgetown, DE and the late Ervin Joseph White. He was a former employee at Wayne Memorial Hospital where he was a lab technician. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish, attending St. Bernard’s Church in Beach Lake. An outdoorsman, Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all, Joe was a devoted husband, father and caregiver to his family. Surviving are his sons Joseph Alexander and John Michael both at home; his sister Lisa Tolen and husband Tommy of Abington, PA; a nephew Patrick Tolen; his mother-in-law Lena Mullahy of Ambler, PA. He was preceded in death by his sister Desiree White. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 6th at 10am at St. John the Evangelist Church, Honesdale. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 to 5 at Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale. |
