Harrie Burial Date July 6, 2016 Funeral Home Hessling Funeral Home Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Willard “Leroy” Harrie, 82 of Equinunk, died on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Marion Taft. The couple married on December 25, 1961. Born on June 15, 1934 in Scranton, PA, he was the son and last surviving member of the Duane and Madeline Houghtaling Harrie family. He served in the US Army during peacetime. Leroy worked for Manchester Township for 20 years before retiring. An avid hunter, he was a longtime member of the Equinunk Hunting Club. Before he took ill he was a member of the Equinunk Fire Co.. Also surviving are his sons Luke Harrie and wife Roseanna of Pleasant Mount and Mark Harrie of Equinunk; grandchildren Amanda and Luke Harrie. He was preceded in death by his brothers Armond and Wilson Harrie. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 6th at Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale at 11 am.
