Obituaries » Walter "Ted" Chase Funeral Home Hessling Funeral Home Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Walter Theodore “Ted” Chase, Jr., 60, of Honesdale, died on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, the former Denise Newport. The couple married on May 10, 1997. Born on February 27, 1965 in Honolulu, HI, he was the son of the late Walter Theodore Chase Sr. and Brenda (Holbert) McCloskey. He was a US Marine Corps veteran. A “Jack of all trades,” he drove truck for many years and also worked as a mechanic. Ted enjoyed tinkering around his garage and riding his motorcycle. Also surviving are his sons, William Young of Pen Argyl, PA and Theodore “David” Chase of Honesdale; his daughter, Krystal Maree and husband, Ryan of Honesdale; his grandchildren, William and Michelle Young. He is also survived by several siblings. Following cremation, his family will receive friends on Thursday, June 12th, at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale from 3 to 6.Check your settings when you are happy with your print preview press the print icon below.
