Obituaries » Walter L. Maers Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Walter “ Bud” Maers passed away on April 19th at the age of 98, at home surrounded by family. Walter joined the love of his life and best friend, Muriel Maers to dance again in heaven. Walter is predeceased by his parents Walter and Alice Maers. He is survived by his 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren who will all dearly miss his witty jokes, daily advice, and commitment to family. Walter was a proud WWII veteran and the patriarch of his family. All who knew him were honored to be in his presence. An intimate private service will be held with his family on May 1st. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to the Disabled American Veterans charity.
