Thomas J. Leonard, 68, of Pleasant Mount, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Scranton on December 13, 1952, he was the son of the late Thomas A. and Julia (Farrell) Leonard.

Tom was a graduate of Forest City High School and later, along with his sister, Mary and late brother Patrick, raised beef cattle on the family farm.

He was an avid outdoorsman and particularly enjoyed deer hunting. He had a good heart and was a good friend to everyone he met. He especially loved his dog, Pups. Tommy and Pups went on many adventures together.

Surviving are his sisters, Peg Kuhar and husband Joe of Eynon, PA and Mary Leonard of Pleasant Mount; his niece Kristine Leonard (Dustin Wellman); a great nephew, Patrick and great niece, Ellie.

He was preceded in death by his best friend and brother, Patrick Leonard.

The family would like to thank Wayne Memorial Hospice nurses, staff and Dr. James Cruse. They would also like to thank all the extended family and friends for their support during this difficult time.

Due to Covid restrictions, private funeral services will be held at the convenience of his family. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale.
