Everyone on the East Side of Hawley knew Tom & his brother Gene. Sheridan's Store (the former Swingle's Store) was a landmark. If you were giving directions on the East Side of Hawley you would have to mention Sheridan's Store. When I delivered the morning Newpaper I would pick up my bundle at the store and that's where most on the East Side kids caught the bus to school. Like most things in life that landmark and the good memories are slowly fading. Heartfelt condolences to the Sheridan family.

I would like to add my condolences, thoughts, and prayers to Tom’s family and friends. Like so many other Hawley folks I had the good fortune to chat with Tom either at the store or in the Hawley Bank and I have fond memories of those conversations. Rest in Peace Tom.
