Endriss Funeral Home Hessling Funeral Home Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Sheldon Bones Endriss, 23, of Honesdale, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in a tragic house fire. Born on November 9, 2002, in Marina Valley, CA, he is the son of Kevin Endriss and wife, Wendy Endriss, of Honesdale, and Wanda Green and husband, Jack Green, of Etowah, TN. Sheldon attended school in Wayne County, where his love for basketball blossomed, starting all the way back in elementary school. He loved playing the game and could often be found playing with his buddies at Treasure House or the YMCA. He was known for his passion for video games, exuberant concert attendance, and loved watching movies with those close to him. A young man of remarkable spirituality and wisdom, Sheldon touched the lives of everyone he encountered with his selfless nature and loyalty to family and friends. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, embodying a spirit of generosity that inspired those around him. An advocate for personal growth, Sheldon dedicated himself to self-improvement, health, and fitness, setting an example of determination and resilience. His personal mantra was “Self Made.” His vibrant personality and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Hope Endriss and Sabrina Endriss; his girlfriend, Lexi Ashford, and stepson, Greyson Ashford; his best friend, Rayshaun Whitfield; and his step-brother and step-sister, James Sanicola and Kaitlyn Sanicola, of Clintondale, NY. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Missy Sohnlein-Rush. Sheldon was accompanied into the next life by his dog, Dusty; Hope’s dog, Midnight; and Sabrina’s dog, Bear. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St., Honesdale.
