Scott G. Gardner

Scott Gregory Gardner, 60, of Hawley, died on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, the former Sherry Em Seaman. The couple married on May 14, 1993.

Born on March 12, 1963 in Honesdale, he was the son of the late Kenneth F. Gardner Sr. and Betty (Pry) Gardner. He was a graduate of Western Wayne High School where he excelled on the football and wrestling teams. He later graduated from Mansfield University.

For the past 27 years, Scott was employed by Leeward Construction where he was a a truck driver and equipment operator. He was a member of the Salem Masonic Lodge, #330 in Hamlin. An outdoorsman, he was also a member of the Gravity Hunting Club. He and his wife were also members of the Lake Ariel Cottagers Association.

At home, Scott enjoyed working in his garage, especially on his Ariens tractors. He was a Nascar fan and loved his cats and dogs. Most of all, Scott enjoyed spending time at Lake Ariel where he grew up. He loved spending time boating and fishing with his friends and family. Scott was a dedicated husband, father and family man.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Gabrielle Gardner of Hawley and Addison Gardner of Hummelstown, PA; his brothers, Thomas Corrigan and wife Michelle of Lake Ariel, Glenn Gardner and wife Peggy of Lake Ariel, Gary Gardner of Moscow and Charles Gardner of Scranton; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Seaman of Port Charlotte, FL; brothers-in-law, Wade Seaman and wife Laura of Honesdale and Drew Seaman and wife Judy of Havertown, PA; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Delia Mackenzie Gardner and brother, Kenneth Gardner Jr..

Friends may visit Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale on Friday, 4 to 7. Private funeral services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
