Rosalie Guida, 72, of Hawley, died on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.

Born on December 5, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Zacharias and Mary (Madeo) Manesiotis. Rosalie became in foster care for children early in her life. During this time she cared for many children in need. Because of her caring nature, she became a mother to many. She enjoyed taking care of her home, cleaning and cooking. She also enjoyed trips to casinos, happily taking anyone who would go with her.

While she was living in Brooklyn, she attended St. Simon and St. Jude Roman Catholic Church and after moving to the Hawley area, she attended Queen of Peace Parish.

Surviving is her husband, Salvatore Guida of Carbondale; her daughters, Lauren Guida of Hawley and Rachel Ross of Dingmans Ferry; her son, Vincent Guida of Carbondale; her brother, Constantino Manesiotis and wife Laurie of New Jersey; her sister, Colleen Florek and husband Walter of Hawley; grandchildren, Daniel Zerafa and wife Erica, William and Chirstopher Zerafa, Amy Haines and husband Hunter, Cyndal Ross, Salvatore and Santino Ross and Vincent Martino; great grandchildren, Milana and Kali Haines.

A blessing service will be held on Wednesday, September 28th at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale at 3 pm. Friends may visit 12 until the time of service. Interment will on Thursday at 12:30 in Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge, NJ.
