Small Funeral Home Hessling Funeral Home Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Robert (Bob) John Small, age 90 a longtime resident of Long Island, NY and Hutchinson Island/Fort Pierce, FL has passed away in the comfort of his son Howard (Scot) and wife Marie Small’s home on Monday, May 5th, 2025, in Beach Lake, PA. Bob was born August 20th, 1934, in Long Island, NY. The son of Charles and Fannie (Stride) Small. Bob has had many joys in his life but one of the biggest joys was his beautiful wife Joan Small. Married June 18th, 1951 (74 years together). Not long after Joan and Bob had three sons: George Herbert Small, Howard (Scot) Small, and Guy Norman Small. In Bob’s earlier years, he took pleasure in horse competitions as a Reiner, traveling all around the United States in his motorhome with his wife Joan, and he took true pride into being a grandfather to 6 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Bob was a loving husband, a great father, an amazing grandfather, a good friend a generous man all around. Bob is survived by his loving family: Wife; Joan (Trafford) Small, Brother; Jim/Lynda Small, sister-in-law, Anastasia Small, George and wife Colleen Small , Scot and wife Marie Small, and Guy and wife Leigh Small; grandchildren, Shaun, Krystal, Patricia, Gregory, Rein and Kelly; nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence and Herbert and sister in law Genne. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 14th, at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale at 11am. Friends may visit on Tuesday, 4 to 7.
