Robert A. Iulo

Robert Anthony Iulo, 85, of Beach Lake, died on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Mary Cortes. The couple married in NYC at the Biltmore Hotel on May 17, 1974.

Born on June 8, 1941 in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late George E. and Filomena “Florence” (Martucci) Iulo.

Bob proudly served as a carpenter foreman for the Local 157 Carpenters Union in New York City. After retiring, he and his beloved wife, Mary, chose to settle in Beach Lake, PA, where he attended the Beach Lake Free Methodist Church.

A talented woodworker, Bob expressed his creativity through crafting furniture, toys, and cradles, generously sharing his creations with family to pass down for generations to come. In addition to his craftsmanship, Bob was a devoted fan of doo-wop music, the New York Giants, and the New York Yankees. His love for God, pride in his country, and deep affection for his family were the cornerstones of his life.

Also surviving are his daughters, Donna Liuzzo and husband John of Liverpool, NY, Wendy Gonzalez and husband Joseph of Quakake, PA and Renee Locricchio and husband Damien of West Orange, NJ; he was known as Grandpa, Pop-pop and Papa to his 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren whom he adored with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa DeRosa.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 2nd at noon at the Beach Lake Free Methodist Church, 107 Milanville Rd., Beach Lake, PA. Arrangements by Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale.
