Richard C. Daniels, 78, of Honesdale, died Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary A. Swendsen on May 23, 2004.  The couple married on July 12, 1958.

Born July 3 of 1941 long lived and passionate truck driver with a 2,000,000 mile safe driver award. He was preceded in death by his parents Hazel “Happy” and John Daniels, brother Bill Daniels, daughter Jandell Daniels and grandson Tate Daniels.

Survived by his sister Judy Daniels of Florida; sister-in-law Judy Daniels of Waymart; daughter Suzanne Fries and husband Dan Fries of Tennessee,Son Mark Daniels and Rose German of Honesdale ,son Chris Daniels and wife Renee Daniels of Altoona Pennsylvania ,daughter Lisa Daniels husband Tom Howe of Lake Ariel, Son PAUL DANIELS wife Tiffany Daniels of Waterberry Connecticut, son Todd Daniels wife Tassa Daniels of Georgia Grandchildren Danielle Smith, Cassandra Hill, Dustin Wood, Mark Daniels Jr. ,Freddy Daniels, Tracy Herzog, Freddy Daniels, Tracy Herzog, Ashlee Daniels, Bailey Daniels, Chris Daniels Jr. , Ryan Daniels, Dylan, Zac, Kaylee, Melissa Daniels, Lynn Rollison , George Schmitt Jr, , Harmony Schmitt, Ashley Daniels, William, Waylon, Savannah, Annabella Horvath, And Mason Daniels. Great grandchildren Gabe Hill, Grayson and Drew Daniels, Tia, Jack, Charlie, Dylan Daniels, Levi and Emma Herzog, Landon and Cody Rolson and Noah Daniels.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 28th in Indian Orchard Cemetery at 11 am.  Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale.
