Patricia Joan Mill, 83, of Honesdale, died on Friday, June 30, 2017 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Mill on February 3, 1977.

Born on February 2, 1934 at the family home in Tanners Falls, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Conklin Layton.

A loving mother and housewife, Patty over the years also worked at Grants Dept. Store, Day’s Bakery and retired from Knob Shell Fish. She was an active member of the Tabernacle Bible Church in Honesdale where she enjoyed participating in the many church functions. Patty also enjoyed spending time at the Honesdale Senior Citizens Center with her many friends. She enjoyed going for walks and loved her pets.

Surviving are her sons Gerald E. Mill and wife Betty-Ann of Cherry Ridge, Mike Mill and David Mill both of Honesdale; her daughter Marcie Bunting and husband Gerald of Cherry Ridge; her sister Marcella Gardner of Honesdale; her granddaughter Christine Mill and great grandchildren Jerrah Ann and Morgan; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother Henry Layton and her nephew Patrick Gardner.

As per her request, funeral services will be private. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale.
