Patricia (Lescinski)Brown, 71, passed away unexpectedly on September 25, 2021 surrounded by her family at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Arlene Lescinski and a brother Andrew and sister Paula.

Patricia graduated from Wallenpaupack High School in 1968. After graduating she worked for Pocono Mountains Vacation Bureau and was chosen Miss Pocono in 1971 after which she competed in the Miss Pennsylvania contest where she made us all proud finishing in third place. She earned her license in cosmetology shortly after graduation.

Patricia was a dedicated worker and worked 18 years for Woodloch Pines where she managed recreation at the Lodge Complex as well as working in the hospitality sector. She also worked several years at Bryn Mawr as an event planner.

Patricia married Gary Brown of White Mills in 1971 and they celebrated their fiftieth anniversary in June of this year. She is survived by her sons James Brown and companion Jessica Balabanoff, Joseph Brown and wife Sarah both of Hawley, two siblings Catherine Anke and husband Richard and Jean Waters and husband Gary. She is also survived by four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Patricia was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish in White Mills and more recently Queen of Peace of Hawley. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, served on the White Mills Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Ambulance EMT squad. She was also an EMT instructor for the National Ski Patrol.

She was an avid horsewoman and truly loved her flower gardening. Anyone who knew her felt a deep sense of warmth, love and caring and her generosity and compassion were unsurpassed. She will be truly missed and has left an indelible mark on this earth and on the hearts of all who knew her.

There will be a private family viewing on Sunday, October 3 at Hessling Funeral Home, Inc. from 2-4. Masks will be required. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Peace Church on Monday, October 4 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Indian Orchard Cemetery.
