Norma Jean Holzworth, 65, of Honesdale, died on Friday, November 2, 2018 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband William Holzworth in 2006.

Born on July 16, 1953 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Norman Earl and Rita Mary Leibrandt Ryan. For many years, Norma worked with her family in construction doing siding and installing windows. More recently, she was employed at Walmart in Bucks County and Lancaster.

Norma enjoyed all crafts. She was a talented artist making ceramics, crocheting, and needlepoint. She also enjoyed baking cookies which others enjoyed too. Most of all, Norma loved being a mother and grandmother. She loved being with her family.

Surviving is her son William “Bill” Holzworth and wife Kathy Masters-Holzworth of Levittown, PA; her daughers Rita Ryan and husband George Miller Sr. of Honesdale and Tammy Santos and husband Wil of Beach Lake; her brother Norman Ryan; grandchildren Angelica Torres, Jazlyn Santos, George Miller Jr., Malcolm Miller, and David Miller; great grandchildren Zoey and Malcolm Miller Jr.. Norma’s family is forever grateful for Carol and Kelly and the meaningful friendship that they developed with their mother.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Norman Dominico Ryan, Joseph Bangs and John Bangs.

As per her request, there will be no funeral services. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale.
