I found out only yesterday (3/14/22) that Mike had passed away and was shocked. We worked together for a number of years but I hadn't seen him for quite a while. I always thought of Mike as a very good friend and one of the most likable guys I've ever met. My sincere condolences to Tess and his family, Tom Mc Donnell Kingston

I had the privilege of meeting Mike and his family, Katy, Tess, Jackie, Jessica as well as Violet and Nesta, who was a baby then, when they decided to be a foreign student host family in August 2007. For a month, Mike and family shared their life with us like we were family. On a rainy night of November 2015, I was visiting the US with my family and I wanted to meet up with everyone I’d spent time with in 2007. We had dinner together at a local brewery with Mike, Tess, Katy, Scott and Lisa. Mike made people who didn’t speak the same language feel welcome. He managed to engage with them and created the atmosphere for the blast of an evening we all had. I can still hear everyone’s very loud laughter. That memory lives suspended in time and space, and it summarises the Mike I knew. Someone kind, open-minded, jovial and larger than life.

Dear Family of Mike, I cannot find the words to express how heartbroken I am to learn of Mike's passing. I have known Mike since 1998. Day one, our relationship was on a professional basis. Day two and thereafter, I felt that I had a treasured friend. As his customer, I was always right. As his friend, he always had a smile and a hug for me with an uplifting and encouraging word. His kindness had no limits. Your loss is immeasurable, I know. I will pray that you can find peace in the knowledge that he loved you all so much. Some of his best stories were about you and the love always came through in the telling.

Mike was one of the most kindest, humble and truly decent people I have ever had the pleasure to know. I was associated with Mike on a professional and personal level. Mike truly loved life and he loved his family more. I will miss our talks, the travelling we did the laughs we shared and the stories we told, over and over again. Our camaraderie we shared over the years was valued and the respect we had for each other was mutual. Folks who Mike encountered always loved him. I loved him. And I will miss him. Rest in eternal peace my friend. Joe Todaro
