Mary Mansfield Non, RN, 77, was welcomed home into the Lord’s hands, after a courageous battle with cancer, on July 11, 2016 with her family by her side.  Mary was preceded in death by her husband Paul Non on August 7, 2009.  The couple married on October 8, 1960.

Born on March 2, 1939 at the family home in Tanners Falls, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Mansfield and Juanita Fives Stiles.

Mary was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was also a vital member of the Wayne Memorial Hospital nursing staff for 45 years.   As a nurse, she was known for her caring and humble nature; in fact many called her “Momma Non.”

She was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mary loved her family and will be remembered for her unselfish acts and kind heart.

Mary is survived by her son Paul “Joe” Non, Jr. of Honesdale; daughters Kathryn Johannes and husband Joseph of Waymart and Margaret Non and her husband Allan Curtis.  Her grandchildren Lynn Rollison and husband Richie, Brian Non and wife Amanda, Chris Daniels and girlfriend Rochelle Roche, Melissa Daniels, Bobbie Johannes and Janell Johannes; her great grandchildren Cody Rollison, Ethan Non, Landon Rollison, Noah Daniels and Cally Non; her sister-in-law Adele Mansfield.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Sandy Non.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Honesdale at 10 am.  Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.   The family will receive friends on Friday, 4 to 7.  An Eastern Star service will be held at 6:45.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wayne Memorial Hospice or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
